It’s almost time for the biggest event of the year…Sunday, May 19th is the 11th Annual SCM Awards brought to you by Jay Shields Promotions. The SCM Awards is an annual awards ceremony and networking experience that recognizes the achievements of underground, independent and major Hip-Hop and R&B artists, deejays, models, music and video producers, dancers, record labels, business owners, designers, stylists, and more. The SCM Awards aims to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication they put forth, for the sacrifices they make to enhance their crafts, their skills and talents and for taking the time to invest in themselves.

The SCM Awards is not just a local awards show…It’s not simply a nationwide event. The SCM Awards is global, with attendees and participants from all over the world including guests from Israel, the United Kingdom, Trinidad and Tobago, West Africa, South America, Jamaica, Canada and more. Through live entertainment, talent recognition, live red carpet interviews and global networking opportunities, the SCM Awards encourages growth, promotion, exposure and relationship building with others in the entertainment industry including top music and entertainment executives, record labels, A&Rs and label reps, and other tastemakers.

   

This year, the SCM Awards Pre-Show Experience is hosted by World Famous Jon Jon and Marty Party and the SCM Awards Show is hosted DJ Ms. Hypnotique, Bigga Rankin and Lil CeCe of #TheCeCeShow with music by The Legendary DJ Johnny Blaze and MMG DJ Q. Live entertainment includes professional dancers and models, live DJ sets by DJ Winn, and International DJ Bigg V and live performances by LJ Da Joker of Duval County, FL, FB Money Mo of Jacksonville, FL, Skinnie Kinnie, King Mac Gutta, Rico Montil, Yung Hunnid and Konvict Recording artist, OG Boo Dirty of Memphis, TN, Tru of Tuscaloosa, AL, Redface Shotdie of Hernando, MS, and Big Drako himself, Soulja Boy.

 

The SCM Awards will present special awards to honor Chris Don, owner of Truth Nigh Bar and Club Chardonnay with the 2019 Entrepreneur Award, Memphis Rap Legend Scat Cat Da Villain with the 2019 SCM Legends Award, and Marcus Green, the ULM All American and future NFL Superstar with the 2019 Honorary Athlete Award.

 

There will also be a special guest appearance by Palm Tree Ent. CEO and Founder, CEO M.I.A.M.I. Mike and special performance by 350 and Killa Cam, a special honorary performance by the SCM Legends Award recipient, Scat Cat da Villain featuring Scarface Al Kapone and debut dance performance by dancer, choreographer and Memphis Grizzlies Dance Team member, Nejah NextMove.  

This will be an exciting year for all participants and attendees at the 11th Annual SCM Awards and this event will be talked about for years to come. In 2016 alone, Balize has toured 39 states, and over 120 major cities. He was the spotlight artist artist on "Rhythm Late Night Show", which is broadcasted to over 30 million homes in Africa. Shortly after, "Baseball" became the #1 song on "Nuttin But Luv" radio show in the Bay Area of California.
